Loosen and weed the ground. Sow lightly and press the seed – do not rake it in: many species need light to germinate. Keep moist until the first seedlings appear.\nMaintenance\nPoor soil: mow once per year, in June or July. Leave the clippings for 2–3 days so seeds can fall, then remove.\nModerately fertile soil: mow twice: end of June/early July and again in September.\nFertile soil: mow three times per year: in May, July and September. Always remove the clippings!
