Suckling Clover – Trifolium dubium

Suckling Clover (Trifolium dubium) is a low-growing annual legume with delicate yellow flowers. It grows naturally on lean grasslands, open sandy soils and verges. Quick to establish, early-flowering and important for biodiversity: a beloved nectar source for small wild bees such as mask bees and furrow bees, and it enriches the soil through nitrogen fixation. Self-pollinating, which eases establishment on poor soils. Ideal for flowering lawns, bee meadows, field margins and dry dykes.
